4. Fault Isolation

A. If there is no audio signal on the loud speakers during the test when the VOR1 data are shown on the ND:
- do the BITE test of the VOR/MARKER (system 1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-55-00-740-002)
(1) If the test gives the maintenance message AMU(1RN)/VOR1(3RS1):
- replace the RECEIVER-VOR/MKR, 1 (3RS1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-55-31-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-55-31-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- replace the AMU (1RN) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-400-001).
1 If the fault continues:

- remove the VOR/MKR receiver 1
- remove the AMU

- do a check and repair the wiring from the VOR/MKR receiver 1 to the AMU: from pins AB/7B, 7C to pins AA/8B, 8A (Ref. ASM 34-55/01)
- install the VOR/MKR receiver 1
- install the AMU.

A. If the test gives the maintenance message DMC1/2 (1WT1/2)/DDRMI (1FN)/VOR1 (3RS1):
- swap the RECEIVER-VOR/MKR, 1 (3RS1) and the VOR/MKR receiver 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-55-31-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-55-31-400-001).
(1) If the fault stops:
- replace the VOR/MKR receiver that you installed on side 2.
(2) If the fault continues:
- remove the VOR/MKR receiver 1
- do a check and repair the wiring between the VOR/MKR receiver 1 and the first terminal block: for pins AB/13B, 13C (Ref. ASM 34-55/01)
- install the VOR/MKR receiver 1.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
