3. Fault Confirmation

A. Test NOTE : Do the test that follows with the ATT HDG selector switch (13FP),

on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, at CAPT/ON 3.
Do the BITE test of the weather radar (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-00-740-002).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________ R **ON A/C 001-049, 101-105, 151-199,
A. If the test gives the maintenance message ADIRU3(1FP3) BUS IR/WXR1(1SQ1):
- swap the ADIRU-3 (1FP3) and the ADIRU2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-400-001).
(1) If the fault stops:
- replace the ADIRU that you installed on side 2.
(2) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-WEATHER RADAR, 1 (1SQ1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-33-000-004) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-33-400-003).
(a) If the fault continues:
- remove the weather radar transceiver 1
- remove the ADIRU3
- do a check and repair the wiring from the ADIRU3 to the weather radar transceiver 1: from pins AB/10C, 11C of the ADIRU3 to pins AB/12G, 13G of the weather radar transceiver 1 (Ref. ASM 34-41/01)
- install the weather radar transceiver 1
- install the ADIRU3.
R **ON A/C 051-099, 106-149, 201-299, 301-399, 401-499,
A. If the test gives the maintenance message ADIRU3(1FP3) IR BUS/WXR1(1SQ1):
- swap the ADIRU-3 (1FP3) and the ADIRU2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-400-001).
(1) If the fault stops:
- replace the ADIRU that you installed on side 2.
(2) If the fault continues:
- replace the XCVR-WEATHER RADAR, 1 (1SQ1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-33-000-004) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-33-400-003).
(a) If the fault continues:
- remove the weather radar transceiver 1
- remove the ADIRU3
- do a check and repair the wiring from the ADIRU3 to the weather radar transceiver 1: from pins AB/10C, 11C of the ADIRU3 to pins AB/12G, 13G of the weather radar transceiver 1 (Ref. ASM 34-41/01)
- install the weather radar transceiver 1
- install the ADIRU3.

Loss of the Radio Altimeter Data on the Weather Radar Transceiver 1
1. Possible Causes

- XCVR-WEATHER RADAR, 1 (1SQ1)
- XCVR-RA, 1 (2SA1)
- XCVR-RA, 2 (2SA2)
- wiring from the radio altimeter transceiver 1 to the weather radar
transceiver 1
- wiring from the radio altimeter transceiver 2 to the weather radar
transceiver 1

A. If the test gives the maintenance message RA1(2SA1)+RA2(2SA2)/WXR1(1SQ1):
- replace the XCVR-WEATHER RADAR, 1 (1SQ1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-33-000-004) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-33-400-003).
(1) If the test does not give the maintenance message
RA1(2SA1)+RA2(2SA2)/WXR1(1SQ1):
- read the CLASS 3 FAULTS report for the maintenance message related to a radio altimeter fault.
(a) If the CLASS 3 FAULTS report gives the maintenance message RA1(2SA1)/WXR1(1SQ1):
- replace the XCVR-RA, 1 (2SA1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-42-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-42-33-400-001).
