(1) Do the operational test of the ATC (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-00-710-003).
4. Fault Isolation

A. If there is no display on the ATC/TCAS control unit during the test:
- do the BITE test of the ATC (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-00-740-004).
(1) If the BITE test gives the maintenance message:
- Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
(2) If the BITE test does not give a maintenance message:
- replace the CTL UNIT-ATC/TCAS (3SH) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-12-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-12-400-001).

A. If the test gives the maintenance message WRG : MODE S
ADDRESS/ATC1(1SH1):
- swap the XPDR-ATC/MODE S, 1 (1SH1) and the ATC/MODE S transponder 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-33-400-001).
(1) If the test gives the maintenance message WRG : MODE S ADDRESS/ATC2(1SH2):
- replace the ATC/Mode S transponder that you installed on side 2.
(2) If the maintenance message WRG : MODE S ADDRESS/ATC1(1SH1) is shown again:
- remove the ATC/Mode S transponder 1
- do a check and repair the ATC/MODE S address pin programming, connector AB (Ref. ASM 34-52/01) and (Ref. AWM 34-52-05)
- install the ATC/Mode S transponder 1.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
