1. Possible Causes

- RMI-VOR/ADF/DME (21FN)
- ADIRU-1 (1FP1)
- ADIRU-3 (1FP3)
- wiring of the OUTPUT BUS 2 bus from the ADIRU1 (1FP1) to the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN)
- wiring of the OUTPUT BUS 2 bus from the ADIRU3 (1FP3) to the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN)

3. Fault Confirmation

A. Test
(1) Do the Interface test of the IR (Ref. AMM TASK 34-14-00-740-001).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If during the test, the HDG flag comes into view on the VOR/ADF/DME RMI:
- do a check of the position of the ATT/HDG selector switch on the SWITCHING panel 8VU.
(1) If the ATT/HDG selector switch is at NORM or F/O 3:
- replace the RMI-VOR/ADF/DME (21FN) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-400-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- replace the ADIRU-1 (1FP1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-400-001).

Aug 01/05 CES (2) If the ATT/HDG selector switch is at CAPT 3:
1_ If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the OUTPUT BUS 2 bus
from the ADIRU1 (1FP1) to the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) (Ref.
ASM 34-57/01).
- replace the RMI-VOR/ADF/DME (21FN) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-400-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- replace the ADIRU-3 (1FP3) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-12-34-400-001).
1 If the fault continues:

- do a check and repair the wiring of the OUTPUT BUS 2 bus from the ADIRU3 (1FP3) to the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) (Ref. ASM 34-57/01).

3. Fault Confirmation

A. Test
(1) Do the Interface test of the IR (Ref. AMM TASK 34-14-00-740-001).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If during the test, with the ATT HDG selector switch at CAPT 3, the HDG data do not come into view on the VOR/DME RMI:
- do a check for a maintenance message in the BITE test of the IR system.
(1) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:
- Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
(2) If the BITE test does not give a maintenance message:
- replace the SEL SW-ATT HDG (13FP).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check of the wiring from the ATT HDG selector switch (13FP) to the VOR/DME RMI (11FN): pin A/1 to pin A/J (Ref. ASM 34-57/01).
1 If there is no continuity:
_ - repair the above wiring.
