4. Fault Isolation

A. If the BITE test of the DME 1 cannot be started on the MCDU:
- replace the INTRG-DME, 1 (2SD1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the LGCIU-1 (5GA1) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-71-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-71-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the GND/AIR LOGIC discrete from the DME interrogator 1 (2SD1) to the LGCIU 1 (5GA1) (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).
B. Do the BITE test of the DME (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-00-740-002).

A. If there is no audio signal on the loud speakers during the test, when the DME 1 data are shown on the ND:
- replace the INTRG-DME, 1 (2SD1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the AMU (1RN) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the DME 1 AUDIO bus from the AMU (1RN) to the DME interrogator 1 (2SD1) (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
