A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the ADF (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-00-710-002).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If on the two NDs:
. the ADF 2 data do not come into view
. the red flag is shown:
- do the BITE test of the ADF (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-00-740-003).
(1) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:
- Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.

(2) If the BITE test does not give a maintenance message:
- replace the RECEIVER-ADF, 2 (2RP2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-31-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-31-400-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the BEARING OUTPUT 2 bus from the ADF receiver 2 (2RP2) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-53/01).
B. If on the CAPT ND only: . the ADF 2 data do not come into view . the red flag is shown:
- make sure that on the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, the EIS DMC selector switch is at CAPT 3:
(1) If no:
- replace the DMC-1 (1WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the ADF 2 INPUT bus from the DMC 1 (1WT1) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-53/01).
(2) If yes:
- replace the DMC-3 (1WT3) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the ADF 2 INPUT bus from the DMC 3 (1WT3) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-53/01).
C. If on the F/O ND only: . the ADF 2 data do not come into view . the red flag is shown:
- make sure that on the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, the EIS DMC selector switch is at F/O 3:
(1) If no:
- replace the DMC-2 (1WT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the ADF 2 INPUT bus from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-53/01).

CES (2) If yes:
- replace the DMC-3 (1WT3) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the ADF 2 INPUT bus from the DMC 3 (1WT3) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-53/01).
D. Do the test given in Para. 3.

CES Loss of the ADF 2 Data on the ND
1. Possible Causes

- RECEIVER-ADF, 2 (2RP2)
- ANTENNA-ADF LOOP AND SENSE, 2 (3RP2)
- wiring from the ADF loop and sense antenna 2 (3RP2) to the ADF receiver 2 (2RP2)
