A. Do the BITE test of the DME (system 1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-00-740-002).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the test gives the maintenance message DMC1/2
(1WT1/2)/DDRMI(1FN)/DME1(2SD1):
- do the EIS system test (for the DMC1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-740-004).
(1) If the test gives a maintenance message related to a DMC1 fault:
- replace the DMC-1 (1WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(2) If the test does not give a maintenance message related to a DMC1 fault:
- remove the DMC1
- do a check and repair the wiring between the DMC1 and the first terminal block: for pins AA/7A, 7B of the DMC1 (Ref. ASM 34-51/01)
- install the DMC1.
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.

A. If the test gives the maintenance message DME2 ANTENNA (3SD2):
- swap the INTRG-DME, 2 (2SD2) and the DME interrogator 1 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-400-001).
(1) If the fault stops:
- replace the DME interrogator that you installed on side 1.
(2) If the fault continues:
- remove the DME interrogator 2
- disconnect the coaxial connector from the DME antenna 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-11-000-002)
