4. Fault Isolation

**ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-105, 151-199, 201-214,
A. If the self-test of the GPWS is inoperative:
- do a check of the GPWS/G/S pushbutton switches.
(1) If the CAPT GPWS/G/S pushbutton switch is inoperative:
- replace the P/BSW - GPWS/G/S (5WZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-400-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the GPWS/G/S pushbutton switch (5WZ): . pin A/D1 to the first terminal block . pin A/D3 to the ground point (Ref. ASM 34-48/01).
(2) If the F/O GPWS/G/S pushbutton switch is inoperative:
- replace the P/BSW - GPWS/G/S (4WZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-400-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the GPWS/G/S pushbutton switch (4WZ): . pin A/D1 to the first terminal block . pin A/D3 to the ground point (Ref. ASM 34-48/01).
(3) If the two GPWS/G/S pushbutton switches are inoperative:
- replace the GPWC (1WZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-48-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-48-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the SELF TEST discrete from the GPWC (1WZ) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-48/01).
R **ON A/C 106-149, 215-299, 301-399, 401-499,
A. If the self-test of the GPWS is inoperative:
- do a check of the PULL UP/GPWS pushbutton switches.
(1) If the CAPT PULL UP/GPWS pushbutton switch is inoperative:
- replace the P/BSW - PULL UP/GPWS (5WZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-400-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the PULL UP/GPWS pushbutton switch (5WZ):: . pin A/D1 to the first terminal block

R (2) If the F/O PULL UP/GPWS pushbutton switch is inoperative:
R - replace the P/BSW - PULL UP/GPWS (4WZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-000-
R 002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-10-00-400-002).
R (a) If the fault continues:
R - do a check and repair the wiring of the PULL UP/GPWS pushbutton
R switch (4WZ):
R . pin A/D1 to the first terminal block
R . pin A/D3 to the ground point
R (Ref. ASM 34-48/01).
R (3) If the two PULL UP/GPWS pushbutton switches are inoperative:
R - replace the GPWC (1WZ) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-48-34-000-001) and (Ref.
R AMM TASK 34-48-34-400-001).
R (a) If the fault continues:
R - do a check and repair the wiring of the SELF TEST discrete from
R the GPWC (1WZ) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-48/01).
