A. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the ADF (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-00-710-002).
4. Fault Isolation

A. If during the test, the ADF2 pointer stays in the 3 o'clock position on the RMI:
- make sure that the red flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND.
(1) If no flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND:
- refer to the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TASK 34-53-00-810-822).
(2) If the flag comes into view on the RMI and on the ND:
- do the BITE test of the ADF (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-00-740-003).
(a) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:
- Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.

Aug 01/05 CES (b) If the BITE test does not gives a maintenance message:
- replace the RECEIVER-ADF, 2 (2RP2) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-31-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-53-31-400-002).
1 If the fault continues:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring of the BEARING OUTPUT BUS 2 bus from the ADF2 receiver (2RP2) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-57/01).
(3) If the flag comes into view only on the RMI:
- replace the RMI-VOR/ADF/DME (21FN) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-400-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the ADF2 bus from the VOR/ADF/DME RMI (21FN) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-57/01).
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.

A. If during the test, the left window does not give the DME1 distance values:
- make sure that on the ND, the DME flag comes into view.
(1) If it does not come into view and if the left window of the RMI shows dashes:
- refer to the trouble shooting procedure (Ref. TASK 34-51-00-810-812).
(2) If it does not come into view and if the left window of the RMI is blank:
- replace the RMI-VOR/DME (11FN) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-57-22-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the DME1 bus from the VOR/DME RMI (11FN) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-57/01).
(3) If it comes into view and if the left window of the RMI is blank:
- do the BITE test of the DME (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-00-740-002).
(a) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message:
- Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance message.
(b) If the BITE test does not give a maintenance message:
- replace the INTRG-DME, 1 (2SD1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-400-001).
