7.2 Alice Springs Airport
7.2.1 Quarantine. Quarantine clearance will be undertaken by
Quarantine officers stationed in Alice Springs.
7.2.2 Customs and Immigration. Customs or Immigration officers are
not stationed permanently at Alice Springs Airport. No facilities
exist to separate passengers and crew from the general public;
consequently, both crew and passengers will be required to
remain on board the aircraft. The pilot may disembark to perform
the necessary safety inspections. An airline representative may
board with relevant documents. Customs is to be notified of the
diversion together with any contingency plans regarding further
movements and times the aircraft will be on the ground at Alice
Springs. This will allow an assessment to be made as to whether
there is a need for Customs presence or other further action is
required.

7.3.1 Customs and Immigration. Customs or Immigration officers are
not stationed permanently at Avalon Airport. No facilities exist to
separate passengers and crew from the general public;

remain on board the aircraft. The pilot may disembark to perform
the necessary safety inspections. An airline representative may
board with the relevant documents. Customs is to be notified of
the diversion together with any contingency plans regarding
further movements and times the aircraft will be on the ground at
Avalon. This will allow an assessment to be made as to whether
there is any need for Customs presence.

Canberra. This will allow an assessment to be made as to whether
there is any need for Customs presence.

7.5 Coffs Harbour Airport
7.5.1 Quarantine. Quarantine clearance will be undertaken by
Quarantine officers stationed at Coffs Harbour.
7.5.2 Customs and Immigration. Customs officers are stationed at
Coffs Harbour and will be available to grant overnight or full
clearances, as required, provided reasonable advance notice of
the diversion is given by Airservices Australia. These officers will
also complete the required immigration clearances.
7.5.3 For onward movement of the aircraft see sub-para 6.1.2.
7.6 Dubbo Airport
7.6.1 Quarantine. The Department of Health has appointed the local
medical officer at Dubbo as a Quarantine Medical Officer. This
officer is responsible for conducting quarantine clearance
formalities in the case of aircraft which are making their first
landing in Australia at Dubbo or which, for some other reason,
have not been granted pratique prior to arrival there.
7.6.2 Customs and Immigration. Customs or Immigration officers are
not stationed permanently at Dubbo. An officer of the New South
Wales police will have the responsibility to exercise surveillance
over the aircraft while it is at the airport.
7.6.3 For onward movement of the aircraft see sub-para 6.1.2.

7.7 Gold Coast Airport
7.7.1 Customs and Immigration. Customs officers are stationed at
Gold Coast Airport and will be available to grant overnight or full
clearances, as required, provided reasonable advance notice of
the diversion is given by Airservices Australia. These officers will
also complete the required Immigration clearances.
7.7.2 For onward movement of aircraft see sub-para 6.1.2.
7.8 Kalgoorlie Airport
7.8.1 Customs and Immigration. Customs officers are not stationed at
Kalgoorlie. An officer of the West Australian police (Customs
representative) will have the responsibility to exercise surveillance
over the aircraft while it is at the airport.
7.8.2 For onward movement of the aircraft see sub-para 6.1.2.
7.9 Launceston Airport
