1) Remove squib test control panel (M10401) (P61 right side panel).
2) Connect test lamp between pins 7 and 12 off connector D3736 (pins 13 and 14 off connectors D3736 for bottle 2 - if installed).
NOTE: Pins 7 and 13 connect to + 28 volt dc source. Pins 12 and 14 connect to ground path through squib.
3) Lamp illuminated indicates intact squib.
4) Remove test lamp and install M10401 (or M32) squib test control panel.
B. For engines:
1) Remove M10401 squib test control panel (P61 right side panel).
2) For bottle 1, L Squib; connect test lamp between pins 8 and 3 of connector D3734.
3) For bottle 1, R Squib; connect test lamp between pins 8 and 3 of connector D3736.
4) For bottle 2, L Squib; connect test lamp between pins 9 and 4 of connector D3734.
5) For bottle 2, R Squib; connect test lamp between pins 9 and 4 of connector D3736.
NOTE: Pins 3 and 4 connect to +28 volt dc source. Pins 8 and 9 connect to ground path through squib.
6) Lamp illuminated indicates intact squib.
7) Remove test lamp and install M10401 squib test control panel.
C. For lower cargo compartment:
1) Remove M10401 squib test control panel (P61 right side panel).
2) For bottle 1, FWD CARGO SQUIB; connect test lamp between pins 6 and 10 of connector D3736.
3) For bottle 1, AFT CARGO SQUIB; connect test lamp between pins 6 and 11 of connector D3736.
4) For bottle 2, FWD CARGO SQUIB; connect test lamp between pins 6 and 10 of connector D3734.
5) For bottle 2, AFT CARGO SQUIB; connect test lamp between pins 6 and 11 of connector D3734.
NOTE: Pin 6 connects to +28 volt dc source. Pins 10 and 11 connect to ground path through squib.
6) Lamp illuminated indicates intact squib.
7) Remove test lamp and install M10401 squib test control panel. OPERATIONS (O)
The associated compartment must remain empty or contain only ballast, empty cargo handling equipment (ballast may be loaded in ULDs (Unit Load Device)), or Flight Kits. The content of a Flight Kit is defined in B757 Technical File. Materials to be used as ballast shall be non-combustible (see MEL Preamble).

Verify bottle is properly charged:
NOTE: Bottle charge can be verified two ways: electrically per step 1) or by weighing the bottle per step 2). If the electrical check passes, the airplane may be dispatched. If the electrical check fails, the failure may be in the pressure switch, and the system may still be acceptable for dispatch if the bottle
charge is verified by weighing. Operators can, if desired, bypass the electrical check and just perform the bottle weighing procedure.
