3) Insert spare contacts and filler rods in accordance with D6-5446, Wiring Practices Manual, section 20-60-08 in all unused cavities.
D. Remove electrical connector D2944 from the left (D3002 from the right) ram air inlet door actuator on the affected air conditioning pack.
E. Install fabricated shorting plug with connector from the ram air inlet door actuator electrical
connector and stow.
F. For airplanes with exhaust doors, disconnect, cap and stow electrical connectors from the
exhaust door actuators on affected air conditioning pack.
G. Close the circuit breaker associated with affected air conditioning pack:
1) Left pack - LEFT PACK STANDBY POWER (P11)
2) Right pack - RIGHT PACK STANDBY POWER (P11)
6. Close applicable ECS access door.
7. Place a piece of tape over the affected pack INOP light (light and PACK TEMP message will illuminate continuously when dispatching in this configuration).
8. Advise dispatch whether a shorting plug has been installed. Doors In Any Other Position (Affected Pack Deactivated):
NOTE: Exit area must be greater than inlet area to prevent noise and vibration due to possible adverse pressure gradient.
1. Rotate pack control selector to OFF. Verify that PACK OFF light comes on.
2. Open and collar applicable L or R PACK FLOW CONTROL circuit breaker on the P11 overhead panel.
For airplanes with exhaust doors, if exit area is not clearly greater than inlet area proceed with step 3 or 4.
3. If exhaust door is operative:
B757 - 200 MINIMUM EQUIPMENT LIST
A. Verify that the ram air exhaust door is in the full open position.
B. Disconnect, cap and stow electrical connector for exhaust door actuator.
4. If exhaust door is inoperative - not full open:
A. Remove exhaust door actuator (AMM 21-53-04).
B. Fabricate actuator link 11.1 inch long with rod ends compatible with door actuator fittings.
C. Position door to full open position and install actuator link in place of ram air actuator.
5. Notify dispatch that (left or right) pack is inoperative and flight will be limited to FL 350 or below. Ram Air

Doors Secured Open (Affected Pack Operational):
1. If Maintenance has not installed a shorting plug in ram air inlet door electrical connector, then operate affected pack in STBY-W mode (AUTO mode will be inoperative). Cabin temperature performance may be degraded during hot day (30°C) ground operations and/or during hot day high altitude operation.
