Associated zone temperature control selector - DO NOT OPERATE - LEAVE OFF Trim air switchlight as appropriate
MAINTENANCE (M)
Affected Zone Trim Air Modulating Valve Closed:
1. Position affected Compartment Temperature Control as follows:
A. FLT DK, FWD CAB or AFT CAB, rotate temperature control to OFF.
2. Check on EICAS ECS/MSG page that the affected TRIM VALVE is in the full closed (0.00) position.
3. Check that the affected Zone INOP Light illuminates.
NOTE: If there is reason to suspect that the Zone Trim Air Modulating Valve will not stay closed using the
above procedure, use the optional procedure in Item 21-61-1 to ensure its closure. Trim Air Regulating Valve Closed:
1. Press TRIM AIR switchlight on P5 panel to OFF.
2. Check that amber TRIM AIR OFF light comes on.
3. Open and collar the CABIN TRIM AIR circuit breaker on overhead circuit breaker panel (P11).
OPERATIONS NOTE
If flight deck (or affected compartment) temperature becomes too hot or too cold, select trim air OFF to
achieve 24°C control.

Trim air switch as appropriate - L (or R) TRIM AIR INOP MAINTENANCE (M)
1. An inoperative trim air check valve is secured closed by installing a blanking plate on the downstream side of the inoperative trim air check valve. The blanking plate may be installed on either the left side or right side, depending on which valve is inoperative (or on either side of both are inoperative).
