3. Perform an operational test on the remaining operative Control Wheel or Audio Selector Panel (ASP) PTT switches, and ensure deactivated switches do not operate.
A. Provide electrical power on the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201).
B. Select BOOM on the ASP and use the boom microphone for this test.
C. Push the INT Select Switch on the associated ASP, ensure the INT MIC light is illuminated and the receiver volume is properly adjusted.
D. For deactivated switches, speak into the boom microphone while simultaneously pushing the deactivated PTT switch. No transmission should be heard on the other pilot’s headset.
E. (Optional) For the remaining operative switches:
1) For an inoperative open ASP PTT switch:
a. Speak into the associated pilot’s microphone while simultaneously pushing the control wheel PTT switch. The transmission should be clearly heard on the other pilot’s headset.
b. Speak into the associated pilot’s microphone while simultaneously pushing the glareshield (if installed) PTT switch. The transmission should be clearly heard on the other pilot’s headset.
2) For a deactivated control wheel PTT switch:
a. Speak into the associated pilot’s microphone while simultaneously pushing the ASP PTT switch. The transmission should be clearly heard on the other pilot’s headset.
b. Speak into the associated pilot’s microphone while simultaneously pushing the glareshield (if installed) PTT switch. The transmission should be clearly heard on the other pilot’s headset.

1. Disconnect the IDG as follows:
CAUTION: DISCONNECTING THE IDG WITH THE ENGINE BELOW IDLE SPEED OR WITH THE
ENGINE SHUT DOWN DOES NOT RESULT IN COMPLETE SEPARATION OF THE DISCONNECT DOG TEETH. STARTING THE ENGINE WITHOUT RESETTING THE DISCONNECT OR DISCONNECTING THE IDG WITH THE ENGINE BELOW IDLE SPEED COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE DOG TEETH.
