5. Gain access to the leaky yaw damper actuator.
6. Remove the pressure and return lines from the actuator.
NOTE: Use MS21913K4 plug and MS21914-4K cap or equivalent for pressure lines and
MS21913D6 plug and MS21914-6D cap or equivalent for return lines.
7. Cap actuator hydraulic ports.
8. Plug the hydraulic lines.
9. Close the circuit breakers from step 4.
10. Set STAB TRIM switches to NORM.
11. Set L, C, R TAIL FLT CONTROL to ON.
12. Verify proper operation of the remaining yaw damper as above.
NOTE 1: With an inoperative Thrust Management Computer, the Autothrottle System will be inoperative and the following flight deck displays will be affected:
1. EGT amber indications which are normally inhibited during takeoff or go-around will not be inhibited,
2. Reference EPR will not be available,
3. Assumed temperature (if used) will not be available,
4. Thrust reference modes (TO, CLB, etc.) will not be available.
NOTE 2: When TMS is inoperative, FMS calculated fuel indications may become erroneous after engine start. OPS part number is displayed on the FMC ident page.

MAINTENANCE (M)
1. Deactivate the Autothrottle (A/T) System as follows:
A. Verify that the A/T ARM switch on the Glareshield is OFF.
B. Open and collar the TMC SERVO circuit breaker on the P11 overhead panel.
NOTE 1:When the Autothrottle System is deactivated by opening the TMC SERVO circuit breaker, the Thrust Management Computer and associated EICAS displays will operate normally.
NOTE 2:An electrical power interruption may cause TMC calculated EICAS parameters to blank. Momentarily closing and then opening the TMC SERVO circuit breaker will restore the displays.
2. For Thrust Management Computer inoperative, including when it is (stuck) in an initialization loop (flashing displays), open and collar the three TMC circuit breakers (AC, DC and SERVO).
