OPERATIONS (O)
Visually verify girt bar engagement:
1. Lift forward and aft corners of door sweeper seal.
2. Move the mode select handle between the disarmed and armed mode.
3. Verify that the forward and aft girt bar sliders travel a minimum of 1.00 inch between the disarmed and armed positions and that the sliders overlap the floor retainers.
4. If the sliders do not travel the minimum distance, the girt bar is not properly engaged and must be corrected prior to departure.

1. Remove escape slide bustle to gain access to girt bar floor fitting area.
2. Move the mode select handle between the disarmed and armed mode.
3. Verify that the forward and aft girt bar sliders travel a minimum of 1.00 inch between the disarmed and armed positions and that the sliders overlap the floor retainers.
4. If the sliders do not travel the minimum distance, the girt bar is not properly engaged and must be corrected prior to departure.
