Right Valve Deactivated In The Mid Position:
Placard flight log - R PACK TEMP CONTROL VALVE INOP MID POS. Placard near right pack control selector (P5 panel) - R PACK USE AUTO ONLY.
NOTE: Left pack may be operated in AUTO or STBY Mode.
1. Gain access to Pack Temperature Control Valve by opening the right ECS access door (194CR).
2. Rotate manual override knob on Right Pack Temperature Control Valve until visual position indicator is midway between open and closed positions.
3. Disconnect, cap and stow both electrical connectors on Pack Temperature Control Valve. Valve Inoperative Closed:
Placard flight log -L (R) PACK TEMP CONTROL VALVE INOP CLOSED. Placard near affected pack control selector (P5 panel) - L (R) PACK USE STBY N.
1. To verify that valve is inoperative in the closed position gain access to valve by opening appropriate left or right ECS access door (193CL or 194CR).
2. Check the visual position indicator in the closed position. If not, rotate the manual override knob until the position indicator moves to the closed position.
3. Disconnect, cap and stow both electrical connectors on Pack Temperature Control Valve.
4. Verify the ram air inlet and exhaust doors in the full open position.
5. Close the applicable ECS door.

To verify normal operation of both the low and high flow modes of the Flow Control Valve (FCV), perform the Operational Test - Pack High Flow Inhibit per AMM 21-51-00.
OPERATIONS (O)
If the other pack (the pack with the operative ACM) fails, the associated pack may be turned OFF below 10,000 feet if necessary to control cabin temperature.
