1. Confirm the valve’s position (partially open, fixed open or missing) using the following procedure: A. Provide electrical power.
B. Place Left Recirculating Fan switch off.
C. Place equipment cooling switch to the ALTN position.
D. To access valve, open forward cargo compartment left sidewall panel located four feet aft of forward bulkhead. For partially open position, ensure valve actuator position indicator is in the SMOKE position. (Should the valve move toward the closed position the valve actuator will not allow it to close completely thus insuring smoke clearance capability for the forward equipment cooling system.)
E. Disconnect and stow the electrical connector from the Forward Equipment Cooling Overboard Exhaust Valve.
F. De-select the ALTN equipment cooling mode.
G. Close sidewall panel.
H. Press L RECIRC FAN switch to ON.
