(1) If there is approx. 115 VAC:
- replace the related READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-38-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-38-400-001).
(2) If there is no 115 VAC:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the related: READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/A and RELAY 8LW conn. A2, READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/A and RELAY 8LW conn. B2, READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/A and RELAY 8LW conn. C2, READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/B and GND (Ref. ASM 23-73/13) and (Ref. ASM 33-25/01).
D. If the operational test gives two or more maintenance messages POWER PCB XX R (XX seat row) and all reading lights in two or more right side PSIUs in series do not come on:
- do a check of the RELAY 7LW and replace it if necessary.
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the: CB 1LW and RELAY 7LW conn. A1, CB 2LW and RELAY 7LW conn. B1, CB 3LW and RELAY 7LW conn. C1, RELAY 7LW conn. A2 and READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. D, RELAY 7LW conn. B2 and READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. D, RELAY 7LW conn. C2 and READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. D (Ref. ASM 23-73/13) and (Ref. ASM 33-25/01).

The passenger reading lights supply high intensity light to each passenger seat. Each light has an ON/OFF switch. The passenger reading lights are installed in the combi-panels. The combi-panels are fitted in the Passenger Service Unit (PSU) channel above the passenger seats. The number of combi-panels on each side of the cabin must agree with the number of seat rows. 115VAC is supplied to the reading lights from the busbars 110XP and 210XP. This is controlled through the cicuit breakers 1LW thru 6LW and the relays 7LW and 8LW. Power units change the 115VAC to 6VAC for the light operation. A fuse in each line gives protection for the transformer and the related Printed Circuit Board (PCB). A switch POWER READ on the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH controls the power supply for the reading lights.
