A. Do the CIDS1/READING/WORK-LIGHTS test through the CFDS.
B. Do the operational test of the passenger reading-light system (Ref. AMM TASK 33-25-00-710-001).

4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the operational test gives the maintenance message RDG LIGHT XX L, R (XX seat row) and the related lamp does not come on:
- replace the LAMP (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-64-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-64-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- replace the related FUSE (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-38-960-002).
(a) If the fault continues:
- replace the related READING LIGHT POWER UNIT (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-38-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-38-400-001).
1_ If the fault continues:
- replace the related PCB 2038VUA (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-49-000-
001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-49-400-001).
B. If the operational gives the maintenance message RDG LIGHT XX L, R and the lamp comes on:
- replace the related DEU-A (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-46-400-001).
(1) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the related: READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/H and DEU-A conn. C/35 (Page 101) READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/H and DEU-A conn. C/42 (Page 102) READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/H and DEU-A conn. C/28 (Page 103) READING-LIGHT POWER UNIT conn. A/B and GND (Ref. ASM 23-73/13) and (Ref. ASM 33-25/01).
C. Do the test as given in the Para. 3.A.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
