3. Fault Confirmation

A. Test Do the operational test of the general illumination (Ref. AMM TASK 33-12-00-710-001)
NOTE : Do this test for the console and briefcase lights only.

4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If, during the operational test:
(1) One console light on the Captain side does not operate correctly:
- remove the defective lamp LT-CONSOLE, CAPT (17LE) or LT-CONSOLE, CAPT (19LE) or LT-CONSOLE, CAPT (21LE) or LT-BRIEFCASE (23LE) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-12-15-000-001).
- make sure that there is 28VDC at the lamp socket.
(a) If there is 28VDC:
- replace the defective lamp (Ref. AMM TASK 33-12-11-400-002).
(b) If there is no 28VDC:
- do a check and repair the wiring (Ref. ASM 33-12/01).

(2) The four console and briefcase lights on the Captain side do not operate correctly:
- do a check for a ground signal at pin 1D of the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) in the BRT position (Ref. ASM 33-12/01).
(a) If there is no ground signal:
- replace the SW-CONSOLE/FLOOR (15LE) (Ref. IPC 331208).
1 If the fault continues:
_
- repair the wiring between the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) pin 3D and the ground terminal (Ref. ASM 33-12/01).
(b) If there is a ground signal:
- do a check for 28VDC at pin 2A of the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) (Ref. ASM 33-12/01).
1 If there is 28VDC:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring between the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) and the Captain console and briefcase lights (Ref. ASM 33-12/01).
2 If there is no 28VDC:
_
- replace the SW-CONSOLE/FLOOR (15LE) (Ref. IPC 331208).
a If the fault continues:

- repair the wiring from the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch (15LE) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 33-12/01).
