A. Test Do the operational test of the instrument and panel integral lighting (Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-00-710-001). (Ref. Fig. 205/TASK 33-13-00-991-006)
NOTE : Do this test for the glareshield integral lighting only.

4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If during the operational test when you move the glareshield
potentiometer cursors (38LE).
(1) One light of the related integrally lighted panel is inoperative:
- remove the defective lamp or LED on the PLATE-INT LIGHTED IDENT (Ref. IPC 331308)
- make sure that there is a voltage at the lamp socket.
(a) If there is a voltage:
- replace the defective lamp.

Feb 01/98 CES (b) If there is no voltage:
- do a check and repair the wiring (Ref. ASM 33-13/03).
(2) If the integral lighting of several instruments and/or panels is inoperative:
- do a check of the lighting controller fuse related to the defective lighting circuit (Ref. ASM 33-13/03).
(a) If the fuse is correct:
- replace the CONTROLLER-LIGHTING (30LF) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-51-400-001). (Ref. Fig. 206/TASK 33-13-00-991-003)
1 If the fault continues:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring related to the defective lighting circuit (Ref. ASM 33-13/03).
(b) If the fuse is not correct:
- replace the defective fuse.
(3) If the related integral lighting panel does not operate correctly:
- do a check of the circuit breaker (5LF) status.
(a) If the circuit breaker is closed:
- do a check for 115VAC at pin A/A of the lighting controller (30LF) (Ref. ASM 33-13/03).
1 If there is 115VAC:
_
- replace the CONTROLLER-LIGHTING (30LF) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-51-400-001).
a If the fault continues:
_
- replace the LT-MAIN INSTRUMENT PNL, CENTER (38LE) (Ref. IPC 331201).
b If the fault continues:
_
- do a check and repair the wiring between the lighting controller (30LF) and the light of the center main instrument-panel (38LE).
2 If there is no 115VAC:
_
- do a check for a ground signal at pins A/C, B of the lighting controller (30LF) (Ref. ASM 33-13/03).
a If there is no ground signal:
_
- repair the defective wiring between the lighting controller (30LF) pin A/C or A/B and the ground terminal (Ref. ASM 33-13/03).
b If there is a ground signal:
_
- replace the C/B-LIGHTING/INST LT/GLARE/SHLD (5LF). . if the fault continues:

(b) If the circuit breaker is open:
- close the circuit breaker.
1_ If the circuit breaker trips:
- replace the CONTROLLER-LIGHTING (30LF) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-
51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-13-51-400-001).
a If the fault continues:
_
- do a check for a short to ground at the wiring between the lighting controller (30LF) pin A/A and the C/B (5LF) (Ref. ASM 33-13/03) . if there is a short to ground:
- repair the related wiring. . if there is no short to ground:
- replace the C/B-LIGHTING/INST LT/GLARE/SHLD (5LF).
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.
