A. Do the BITE test of the Multipurpose Disk Drive Unit (MDDU) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-740-002).
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the test gives the maintenance message DMU(1TV)/MDDU(1TD):
(1) Replace the MDDU (1TD) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-22-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-22-400-001).
(2) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring from the MDDU (1TD) connector A/24, 25 to the first terminal block 1813VT (Ref. ASM 31-38/01).
B. Do the test given in Para. 3.A.

A. Load the DFDRS software of the FDIMU (Ref. AMM TASK 31-33-00-710-013).
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the fault is identified by the crew observation:
FDR SYS uploading is not possible.
(1) Do a check for of the aircraft wiring between the ROUTING BOX-DATA LOADING (102TD) and DMU/FDIU (FDIMU) (10TV) (Ref. ASM 31-38/01):
- A/25 (102TD) to pin AA/14F (10TV).
(2) Do a check for of the aircraft wiring between the DMU/FDIU (FDIMU) (10TV) and the ROUTING BOX-DATA LOADING (102TD):
(a) pin AA/12J, 12K (10TV) to the pin B/12, 28 (102TD).
(b) pin AB/12C, 12D (10TV) to the pin A/42, 9 (102TD).
(3) if the fault continues:
- replace the ROUTING BOX-DATA LOADING (102TD) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-34-400-001).
