A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(2)
Put the warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(3) Make sure that the wheel chocks are in position. Subtask 32-41-11-210-064
B. Wheel Assembly Check (to be accomplished prior to wheel removal)
(1) Check wheel assembly for missing, broken or loose tie-bolts. CAUTION : TIRES ON WHEEL ASSEMBLIES WITH MISSING, BROKEN OR LOOSE
_______ TIE- BOLTS MUST BE DEFLATED BEFORE AXLE NUT IS LOOSENED. FAILURE TO DEFLATE TIRE BEFORE AXLE NUT IS REMOVED CAN RESULT IN INJURY SHOULD WHEEL SEPARATE.

D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the PARK BRK control switch is set to ON. NOTE : On the panel 400VU, make sure that brake pressure indication
____ on the Yellow brake-pressure triple indicator is correct. If necessary pressurize the brake accumulator with Yellow pump (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-002).

Lift the related axle with a jack (Ref. TASK 07-12-00-582-002).
(3)
Fully deflate the tire.
4. Procedure

A. Preparation of the Wheel before Removal
(1) Remove the fan:
(a)
Remove the bolts (22) and the washers (21).
(b)
Remove the debris guard (23) along the centerline of the wheel axle to prevent damage to the drive shaft of the tachometer (31).
(c)
Remove the impeller (19)
Pre SIL 32 - 095
-Remove the lockwire from the nut (25) and discard it.
-Lock the impeller (19) with DISASSEMBLY TOOL (MG174-04). Loosen the nut (25) and remove the impeller (19).
NOTE : Pull the impeller (19) when you loosen the nut (25).

Post SIL 32 - 095
-Remove the lockwire from the nut (25) and discard it.
-Lock the impeller (19) with DISASSEMBLY TOOL (MG174-04).
-Remove the nut (25), the washer (41) and the impeller (19).
(2) Remove the TPIS harness:
(a)
Disconnect the connector (30) from the plug (32). Install the blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(b)
Remove the cotter pin (5) and discard it.
(c)
Remove the nut (6).

(d) Remove the transducer (4). Remove the seals (2) and discard them.
(3) Remove the joint and the shroud:
(a)
Remove the bolts (26).
(b)
Remove the shroud (18).
(c)
Loosen the screw (28). Remove the clamp (15).
(d) Remove the joint (16). Subtask 32-41-11-020-072
B. Removal of the Wheel WARNING : BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE/INSTALL THE WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY
_______ TO PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL, AXLE OR OTHER EQUIPMENT. THE ASSEMBLY IS VERY HEAVY (BETWEEN 130 KG AND 200 KG (290 LBS AND 440 LBS)).
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE AXLE THREAD PROTECTOR IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED
_______ ON THE AXLE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AXLE SLEEVE WHEN YOU REMOVE/INSTALL A WHEEL IF THE AXLE THREAD PROTECTOR IS: -NOT USED. -NOT FULLY ENGAGED ON THE AXLE.
(1)
Remove and discard the cotter pins (12).
(2)
Remove the nuts (11), the washer (13) and the bolts (14).
(3)
Remove the axle nut (10) with the ADAPTOR MLG (H47682).
(4)
Install the PROTECTOR (F46754-1000).
(5)
Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-022) on the axle protector.
