R (1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed :
R - On the nose landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001)
R - On the NLG doors lever (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-002) .
R (2) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put warning notice(s) in position
R to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.

R landing gear free-fall extension system.
R (4) On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle is
R folded into the center console.
R (5) Put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize
R the Green hydraulic system:
R - On the panel 40VU in the cockpit
R - On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access
R doors 197CB.

R D. Preparation before Removal of the Shaft Assembly
R (1) In the cockpit, remove the floor panels 211FF, 211JF (Ref. TASK 53-
R 12-11-000-001).
R (2) Remove the NLG free-fall extension cables (Ref. TASK 32-33-16-000-
R 001).

R A. Removal of the Bellcrank (14) of the Shaft Assembly (3)
R (1) Disconnect the rods (4) and (5).
R (a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (12).
R (b) Loosen the nuts (11) and the washers (13).
R (c) Remove the bolts (16) with the bushes (6).
R (d) Disengage the rods (4) and (5) from the bellcrank (14) and store
R them.
R (2) Removal of the bellcrank (14)
R (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (10) .
R (b) Loosen the nut (9), the washer (8) and the bush (7).
R (c) Remove the tapered bolt (15).
R (3) Removal of the shaft assembly (3)
R (a) Disengage the tabs of the lockwasher (18) from the nut (17).
R (b) Loosen the nut (17).
R (c) Remove and discard the tab lock washer lockwasher (18).
R (d) Loosen the nut (1) and remove the bolt (20).
R (e) Release the bracket (2) with a SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
R (f) Pull-up the shaft assembly (3) from the bearing assembly (19).
R (g) Remove the shaft assembly.
