 Functional test of the tachometers
 1. Reason for the Job
__________________
 The test below is to do the check of the tachometer for correct operation after a replacement of one of them.
 NOTE : If the MLG WHEEL TACHYMETER DRIVING TOOL is not available, as an
____
 alternative you can use:

 -two standard drilling machines with the DRIVING ADAPTOR (98D32403004000).
 NOTE : You must do this test if there is a risk of wiring cross connection
____ between two tachometers (replacement of the MLG or of the electrical harness of the MLG). If only one tachometer is replaced or disconnected, THIS TEST IS NOT MANDATORY as the BSCU will do the automatic check of the tachometer.The BSCU will do this check during aircraft roll between 10 m/s and 40 m/s (32.81 ft/s and 131.23 ft/s) to make sure that the tachometer operates correctly.

 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 (2)
 Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-863-001).

 (3)
 On the panel 402VU, make sure that the ANTI SKID selector switch is in the ON position.

 (4)
 Do the IR alignment procedure (Ref. TASK 34-10-00-860-004).

 (5)
 Install the MLG WHEEL TACHYMETER DRIVING TOOL (355M03190001) on the wheel on which the tachometer has been replaced and on a wheel of the opposite landing gear. Or as an alternative, if the MLG WHEEL TACHYMETER DRIVING TOOL (355M03190001) is not available:

 (a)
 Install one DRIVING ADAPTOR (98D32403004000) on each of two standard drilling machines (rotation speed higher than 900 rpm).

 (b)
 Connect the DRIVING ADAPTOR (98D32403004000) to the tachometer drive shaft on the wheel on which the tachometer has been replaced and on a wheel of the opposite landing gear.

 NOTE : In the test that follows, if you use the DRIVING ADAPTOR with the
____ drilling machine, read DRIVING ADAPTOR as an alternative to DRIVING TOOL.
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. On the captain or the first  On all the brakes: officer side:
 -push the brake pedals.  - the pistons are extended.
 2. On each DRIVING TOOL:  On each wheel which is not connected to the DRIVING TOOL:
 -set a wheel speed of between  - the brake pistons retract.
 900 and 1100 rpm for the
