A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
(2)
Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
On the panel 400VU:
-
Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position.
-
Make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4)
On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle is folded into the center console.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the ground service network is energized from the external power (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
Make sure that the MLG doors are opened (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) is on the applicable main gear door actuator.

A. Installation of the Torque Tube Assembly
(1)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Make sure that the surfaces of the flange (13) and the brackets (14) and (18) are in a good condition.
(3)
Put the torque tube assembly (21) in position.
(4)
Install the bolts (20) and the nuts (19).
(5)
View D:
(a) Install the bolts (12) and the nuts (15).
(6)
View C and E:
(a)
Put the control rods (5) and (16) in postion.
(b)
Install the bushes (8) the bolts (7) the washers (9) and the castellated nuts (10).
(c)
Safety the castellated nuts (10) with the cotter pins (11).

B. Installation of the Rigging Pins (Ref. TASK 32-33-16-991-001)
(1)
For the pulley at frame 47:
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 32-33-17-991-001)
-Put a RIGGING PIN (98DNSA20208150) in the position Pin 2.
(2)
For the MLG free-fall extension cables:
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 32-33-17-991-001)
-Put a RIGGING PIN (98DNSA20208060) in the applicable position Pin

C. Install the MLG Free-Fall Extension Cables (1) and (2)
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 32-33-17-991-001)
(1)
Put the free-fall extension cables (1) and (2) in position at the torque tube assembly (21).
(2)
Connect each cable to its related cable with the turnbuckles (4).
(3)
Temporarily attach the locking pins (3).
(4)
Adjust the free-fall extension cables that were loosened (Ref. TASK 32-33-00-820-003).
(5)
Do a cable tension check on the free-fall extension cables that were loosened (Ref. TASK 32-33-00-200-001).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1GA, 2GA, 52GA.

E. Test
(1)
Make sure that all the rigging pins are removed.
