A. Removal of the Filter 2584GM
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bowl (4) and the filter head (1).
(3) Remove the bowl (4) and the filter cartridge (3). Discard the filter cartridge (3).

R B. Preparation for Installation
R (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
R (4) If the red clogging indicator is out, push it in to set it.
R R R R R (5) Apply the HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003A), HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003B) or HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003C) to: - the threads of the bowl (4) - the packing that is installed in the new filter cartridge (3).

R (1) Install the filter cartridge (3) in the bowl (4).
R (2) Put the bowl (4) in position and tighten the bowl to the filter head (1) by hand.

R (3) Safety the bowl (4) to the filter head (1) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.) dia.

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1GG, 2GG, 3GG, 4GG, 1701GK, 1702GK.

E. Connection of the PTU Isolation Coupling
(1)
Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(a)
If necessary fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(b)
Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-001).
(2)
Test of the System
(a)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(b)
Operate the brakes and make sure that:
-the clogging indicator stays in,
-there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the hydraulic brake filter 2584GM.
(c)
Remove the container.
(d)
Remove the access platform(s).

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
