A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
(2)
Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
On the panel 400VU:
-
Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position.
-
Make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle is foled into the center console.
(5)
Make sure tha tthe wedges are installed on each side of the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle to lock it in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the NLG doors are open (Ref. TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2)
Make sure that the NLG Safety Pins are installed (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3)
Make sure that the cockpit floor panels are removed (Ref. TASK 53-12-11-000-001), (Ref. TASK 53-12-12-000-001).
(4)
Make sure that the avionics door is open.
(5)
Make sure that the RIGGING PIN (98A27801001000) is in the Pin 1 position.
(6)
Make sure that the PIN, RIGGING - RUDDER CONTROL (98A27901002000) is in the Pin 4 position.

C. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1)
If you did not open the LGCIU circuit breakers, make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(2)
If you opened the LGCIU circuit breakers, make sure that the flight configuration precautions were obeyed (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
