A. Reactivation of the Main Wheel Hubcap
(1)
Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-003) to the shaft (2).
(2)
Install the hubcap (4).
(3)
Install the clamp (5) and the nut (3).
(4)
Tighten the nut (3).

B. TEST
(1) Do the functional test of the tachometer (Ref. TASK 32-42-00-720-002).

C. Test
(1) BITE test of the EFCS
(a)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(b)
Set the related SEC(s).
(c)
Do the BITE test of the EFCS computers (Ref. TASK 27-96-00-740-001).
(d)
Make sure that the MCDU shows no maintenance message related to the tachometer.
(e)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
1_ For the tachometer(s) 19GG and/or 22GG:
- on the overhead panel 23VU, release the FLT CTL SEC 3
pushbutton switch, then push it in
- on the overhead panel 24VU, release the FLT CTL SEC 2
pushbutton switch, then push it in.
2_ For the tachometer(s) 20GG and/or 21GG:
- on the overhead panel 23VU, release the FLT CTL SEC 1
pushbutton switch, then push it in.

(1)
On each main gear wheel, examine the drive shroud of the tachometer.
(2)
Make sure that there are no cracks on the wheel rims.
(3)
Make sure that there are no leaks on the valves.
(4)
Make sure that the valve thread is not damaged. Fully tighten the valve cap which seals the valve from dirt and leaks.
