A. Safety Precautions
WARNING : OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1)
You must obey the fuel safety precautions (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001) when you do work on the fuel system.
(2)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(3)
Put warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate the fuel system.

B. Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
For removal of the wing-tank fuel pump canister check valves:
(a) Defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) the fuel from the applicable wing tank.
(3)
For removal of the center-tank fuel pump canister 84QM check valve:
(a) Defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) the fuel from the LH wing tank.
(4)
For removal of the center-tank fuel pump canister 85QM check valve:
(a) Defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) the fuel from the RH wing tank.
(5)
Energize the ECAM system (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(6)
On the ECAM Control Panel:
-push (in) the FUEL system page button.

(7)
On the panel 40VU:
-release (out) the X FEED P/BSW. Make sure that the ON and OPEN lights go off.
(8)
On the ECAM SDU, make sure that the crossfeed valve indication shows green cross-line (closed).
(9)
On the ECAM SDU, turn the LOWER DISPLAY switch counter-clockwise to the off position. Make sure that the ECAM SDU goes off.
(10) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) the fuel from the applicable wing tank.
(3)
Energize the ECAM system (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4)
On the ECAM Control Panel:
-push (in) the FUEL system page button.
(5)
On the panel 40VU:
-release (out) the X FEED P/BSW. Make sure that the ON and OPEN lights go off.
(6)
On the ECAM SDU, make sure that the crossfeed valve indication shows green cross-line (closed).
(7)
On the ECAM SDU, turn the LOWER DISPLAY switch counter-clockwise to the off position. Make sure that the ECAM SDU goes off.
(8)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
