B. Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) the fuel from the center tank.
(3)
For removal of the center-tank fuel pump canister 84QM:
(a) Defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) the fuel from the LH wing tank.
(4)
For removal of the center-tank fuel pump canister 85QM:
(a) Defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) or transfer (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) the fuel from the RH wing tank.
(5)
Energize the ECAM system (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(6)
On the ECAM Control Panel:
-push (in) the FUEL system page button.
(7)
On the panel 40VU:
-release (out) the X FEED P/BSW. Make sure that the ON and OPEN lights go off.
(8)
On the ECAM SDU, make sure that the crossfeed valve indication shows green cross-line (closed).
(9)
On the ECAM SDU, turn the LOWER DISPLAY switch counter-clockwise to the off position. Make sure that the ECAM SDU goes off.
(10)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(11)
Drain the remaining fuel from the center tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder.
(3)
Remove the applicable fuel pump 37QA(38QA) (Ref. TASK 28-21-51-000-002).
(4)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable access panel 147AZ(148AZ).
(5)
Remove the applicable center-tank access-panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-000-001):

A. Removal of the Fuel Pump Canister 84QM(85QM)
(1)
Disconnect the pipe (1).
(2)
Remove the bolt (14) and the washer (15). Release the bonding strap (11).
(3)
Put a container below the connectors (13) and (17).
(4)
Remove the nuts (5) and (10) and the bolts (12). Remove the bracket (9).
(5)
Remove the nuts (22), the washers (21) and the bolts (16).
(6)
Remove the bolts (19) and the washers (20).
(7)
Release the connectors (13) and (17). Remove and discard the O-rings
(7) and (18).
(8)
Remove the applicable canister (4). Remove and discard the sealing ring (23).
(9)
If you are to replace the canister (4), remove the reducer (2). Remove and discard the O-ring (3).
