(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
(2) Put the safety barriers in position. Subtask 28-21-00-650-063
B. Fuel Configuration
(1)
Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position:
-
for the left wing, below zone 540
-
for the right wing, below zone 640.
(2)
Remove the wing access panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001):
-
for the left wing, remove access panel 540AB
-
for the right wing, remove access panel 640AB.
(3)
Get access to the suction valve through the applicable surge door:
-
for the left wing, open the surge door 540BZ
-
for the right wing, open the surge door 640BZ.
(4)
Install the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000) to hold the applicable surge door open.

A. Check Suction Valves For Full and Free Movement
(1) Manually move the clack valve in the suction valve through its full travel. The clack valve must move freely.

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and let the surge door carefully close.
(3)
Install the access panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001):

for the left wing, install access panel 540AB

for the right wing, Install access panel 640AB.
