(4) Replace the O-rings (4) on the disconnected fuel line components (11) and (1).
(a)
Remove the sleeve couplings (17) from the disconnected fuel line components (11).
(b)
Remove and discard the O-rings (4).
(c)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the new O-rings (4).
(d)
Install the new O-rings (4) on the shroud flanges of the disconnected fuel line components (11) and (1).
(e)
Put the sleeve couplings (17) in position on the fuel line components (11).

B. Installation of the APU Fuel Line
(1) Install the disconnected fuel line components (11) and (1). CAUTION : YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU
_______ REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
CAUTION : DO NOT PULL THE FUEL LINE.
_______ IF YOU PULL THE FUEL LINE, YOU WILL CAUSE PERMANENT ELONGATION OF THE FUEL LINE.
(a)
Move the coupling sleeves (17) along the APU fuel line components (11).
(b)
Put the fuel line components (11) and (1) in position and tighten the nuts (2) and (3) with your hand.
(c)
TORQUE the nuts (2) and (3) to between 4.85 and 5.31 m.daN (35.76 and 39.15 lbf.ft).
(d)
Safety the nuts (2) and (3) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) dia..
(2) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L(1 1/2 USGAL).

(3) Install the clamps (12) and (16).
(a) Put the clamps (12) and (16) on the fuel hose components (11).
(b) Install the bolts (13), the washers (15) and the nuts (14). Subtask 28-22-47-865-053
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1QC, 2QC, 3QC, 1QF, 2QF.

D. Leak Test of the APU Fuel Line
(1)
Do an operational test of the APU fuel pump system to purge the fuel line (Ref. TASK 28-22-00-710-001).
(2)
Do the leak test of the APU fuel line (Ref. TASK 28-22-00-790-002).
(a) Examine the connections of the APU fuel line for leaks. NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.
____ If you find leaks, replace the items of the fuel line as necessary.

E. Connection of the Coupling Sleeves
(1) Move the coupling sleeves (17) in position. NOTE : Make sure the distance 'x' between the fuel line components
____ (1) and (11) and the coupling sleeves (17) is 4.0 +2.0 -2.0 mm (0.1574 +0.0787 -0.0787 in.).
(2) Install the retaining springs (6) and safety them with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) dia..
NOTE : Make sure the distance 'y' between the legs of the retaining
____ springs is 24.0 +2.0 -2.0 mm (0.9448 +0.0787 -0.0787 in.).
(3) Remove the tapes which hold the bonding straps (8) temporarily in stowage positions.

(4) Install the bonding straps (8) with the bolts (10), the washers (7) and (9) and the nuts (5) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).

(1) Do the leak test of the APU fuel line shroud (Ref. TASK 28-22-00-790-001).
NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.
