C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the cross-feed valve is closed.
(2)
Make sure that the center tank and applicable wing tank are defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(3)
Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the center tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(4)
Make sure that the applicable MLG door is open (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(5)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE is installed on the applicable MLG door actuator.
(6)
Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable access panel 147AZ, 148AZ.
(7)
Make sure that the applicable access panel 147AZ, 148AZ is removed (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-000-001).

A. Preparation for a Replacement Component
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Lubricate the new O-ring (3) with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012).
(2)
Install the new O-ring (3).
(3)
Install the reducer (2).
(4)
Install the stud (8) and the nut (6).

B. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Lubricate the new items that follow with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012):

C. Installation of the Fuel Pump Cannister 84QM(85QM)
(1)
Install the new sealing ring (23) and the new O-rings (7) and (18).
(2)
Engage the connectors (13) and (17), while you put the canister (4) in position.
(3)
Install the canister (4) with the bolts (19) and the washers (20).
(4)
Install the connector (17) with the bolts (16), the washers (21) and the nuts (22).
(5)
Put the bracket (9) in position and install it and the connector (13) with the bolts (12) and the nuts (5) and (10).
(6)
Install the pipe (1).
