(3) For the wing tank jet adaptor assembly:
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS ARE
_______ CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE.
(a)
Make sure that the flaps are fully extended (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(b)
Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable access panel 575DB(675DB).
(c)
Make sure that the applicable access panel 575DB(675DB) is removed.
(4) For the center tank jet adaptor assembly:
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS

ARE CLEAR.
(a)
Make sure that the applicable MLG door is open 734(744) (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(b)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) is on the applicable MLG door actuator.
(c)
Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable zone 147(148).

D. Jet Adaptor Inspection

_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1) Clean the jet adaptor assembly (4) with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).

Check that the jet adaptor assembly (4) is not damaged and that the jet (5) is not blocked.
(3)
If the jet (5) is blocked do the steps that follow: (Ref. Fig. 405/TASK 28-21-53-991-005)

Remove the trapwire:

Pull the jet (5), with the O-ring (15), from the jet adaptor (20) and remove the:
1_ Make the ends of the trapwire straight.
2_ Turn the jet adaptor (20) until the slot in the jet adaptor
(20) and the blind hole in the jet (5) are aligned.
3_ Bend one end of the trapwire and engage it in the blind hole.
4_ Turn the jet (5). At the same time pull on the free end of the
trapwire to help its removal from the groove in the jet (5).
5_ Discard the trapwire.

-rubber washer (19).
(c)
Use a soft bristled brush and carefully remove the blockage from the jet (5). Make sure you do not damage the jet (5).
(d)
Clean all the parts with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).
(e)
Install the rubber washer (19), the valve (18), the spring (17) and the spider (16) in the jet adaptor (20).
(f)
Push the jet (5), with O-ring (15), into the jet adaptor (20).
(g)
Install the new trapwire MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-018):
1 Bend one end of the trapwire.

2 Align the slot in the adaptor (20) with the blind hole in the
_ jet (5). Engage the bent end of the trapwire in the blind hole.

3_ Turn the jet (5) to get the trapwire into the groove in the
jet (5).
4_ Continue to turn the jet (5) until the trapwire comes into
view. Remove the bent end of the trapwire from the blind hole.
5_ Cut the ends of the trapwire and bend them against the sides
of the slot in the adaptor (20).
