R R R R (b) Make sure that the RH wing fuel tank contains: - a minimum of 600 kg (1322.7732 lb) and a maximum of 750 kg (1653.4665 lb) of fuel.
R R (c) Make sure that the center tank contains a maximum of 1200 kg (2645.5464 lb) of fuel.
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is level to +/- 3 deg. pitch and +/- 3 deg. roll (Ref. TASK 08-21-00-200-001) or (Ref. TASK 08-21-00-200-001) or (Ref. TASK 08-21-00-200-001) or (Ref. TASK 08-22-00-200-001).
(4) On the panel 40VU:
(a) Make sure that all the TK PUMP pushbutton switches are released (out).
(b) Make sure that the X FEED pushbutton switch is released (out).
R R R R R (5) Put a warning notice in position on the flight deck to tell persons not to operate: - the main booster pumps - the crossfeed valve.
NOTE : You must leave the aircraft in this configuration for a____ minimum of one hour before you do the check.
NOTE : There are two procedures available for the operational check____ of the air-release valves. One procedure uses the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED (98D28004002000) to do the check, the other procedure uses the APU: - do procedure A to use the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED (98D28004002000) for the check - do procedure B to use the APU for the check.

(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(3)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(4)
Put a container in position below the APU fuel feed pipe (5080 QM).
(5)
To disconnect the APU fuel feed pipe (4) from the tee assembly (1), do the steps that follow:
CAUTION : YOU MUST USE TWO WRENCHES AND HOLD THE COMPONENT WHEN YOU
_______ REMOVE/INSTALL THE PIPE COUPLINGS AND/OR UNIONS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENT.
(a)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the fuel feed pipe (4) and the tee assembly (1).
(b)
Disconnect the pipe coupling nut (6) from the tee assembly (1).
(c)
Remove the bolts (2), the washers (3) and the P-clips (5) that hold the fuel feed pipe at the firewall.
(d)
Install a blanking cap on the inlet connection of the tee
assembly (1).
(6) Do a leak check on the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED (98D28004002000) before you install it. To do this, do the steps that follow:
CAUTION : DO NOT USE TEST PRESSURES OF MORE THAN 60 psi (4.14 bar).
_______
(a)
Make sure that the parts are assembled correctly.
(b)
Install a blanking cap on the adapter that connects the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED to the flexible fuel-feed pipe.
(c)
Put the test equipment in a minimum depth of 245.0 mm (9.6456 in.) of clean water and blow air into the open end. You must look for air bubbles that come from the joints.
(d)
If there are no leaks, remove the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED from the water and remove the blanking cap. Blow warm air through the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED to dry it.

(e) If there are leaks, tighten the joints and do the test again. (Ref. Fig. 504/TASK 28-21-00-991-005)
(7)
Install the TEST EQUIPMENT-APU FUEL FEED (98D28004002000).
(8)
Use cable ties to hold the test equipment in position. There must be a slope that goes up from point A to point B.
(9)
Put a container in position to collect the fuel.
