being lead, but with building up trustiness it’s a lot easier to achieve co-operation and to
reach the shared goals.
Responsibilities
One of the greatest tasks of a leader is to delegate responsibilities and duties; to manage that
requires knowledge about your team members, as a leader you have to be able to judge
individuals. Each person has their own experiences of life and wishes or they are only able to
manage certain tasks and responsibilities, therefore it is necessary to have separated ways of

leading different human beings. While delegating jobs a leader have to make judgements of
giving responsibilities to the right persons and in the right way. Some people are naturally
informal leaders who like to take own responsibilities of tasks and situations, to these people
it’s easier giving away duties.
Feedback
A crucial element in improving and developing people is the feedback, to receive information
about the outcome and its affects after the work is done. Feedback is also a kind of control
system, to get information about how once work was comprehended. A feedback session
after every work that has been done is very important for the group’s development and for
personal learning about own experiences.
Activeness among people
To have an active meeting means to have active people in the meetings and there are several
ways considering the group to be active and have enthusiastic individuals. One big issue
about meetings and working whith teams is to get everyone involved and understanding, to
give their input to the works processes. Successful meetings are reachable when everyone are
creative, innovative and feel a security among the team members. In this part I’d like to go
deeper in these thoughts of how you make a whole group of people active at the same time.
Divide into groups
When dealing with a larger group it is sometimes impossible to bring up every persons ideas.
To still get every people involved, a useful way is to split up into smaller subgroups, and then
everyone is forced to think of the topic themselves. There are different ways of dividing into
groups, the simplest way is to just to ask the people to turn and discuss two by two for some
minutes, and then bring up all ideas that the pairs have been talking about. If the topic needs
more discussions and considerations it’s a good idea to go away in small groups of three to
about six people; to get interested group members it’s best to divide the peoples in groups of
topics they are interested to work or discuss with, as far as possible.
If the topic first needs to be decided, it’s a good idea to all have some group brainstorming
and just write down all themes that people are interested in, starting with one or two topics
from each person. Then having a poll to see which topics are most attractive for the whole
group.

A paper to write on, a transparent paper to show the results of discussions or even better a
flipchart paper, is a symbolic way of solidarity when dividing into subgroups, to point out
that the smaller group has a specific task to manage.
After the subgroup made their task it’s always important to have a report-phase, which makes
the subgroup members understand their importance for the whole team. And also for them to
realize that the leader appreciates the work they have done requires a presentation to show up
for everyone what they have done.
Encouraging new ideas
When searching for new ideas and innovative solutions, a creative spirit among the group is
needed. The leaders have to encouraging ideas and create a feeling for importance of every
idea. Open-mindedness along with members of the group is sought, and to accomplish this,
the leader has to create a team spirit that’s strong enough to overcome resistance. This
includes a flat hierarchy within the meeting.
Moreover, a good group attitude is important. With a smiling and charismatic leader a happy
and social spirit appears and whit this, it’s also easier to have a creative meeting. Leaders are
forced to create positivism among the members and coach them to get more open-minded for
new-thinking. To build up a strong team and to stimulate everyone both mentally and
emotionally can lead to amazing innovative ideas. In this phase of creativity, focus is also on
inspiring them and letting them think out of the box, which makes is possible to find ideas
