B.  The turbine exhaust case, which serves as the transition duct for the exhaust gas flow from divergent (through the turbine) to convergent (through the exhaust nozzle), is constructed of greek ascoloy stainless steel material. The case is welded together as a concentric inner core segment and outer duct ring joined by 15 airfoil shaped radial struts. Two circumferential rails on the outer diameter of the case provide structural stiffness to the outer duct.
 C.  Provisions are made in the rear mount rails for the attachment of the engine mount links on the aft lower side to carry engine vertical, side, and torsional loads to the airframe structure. For additional information on the aft lower engine mount, refer to 71-21-00/001. The ground handling provisions on the rear of the engine consists of two holes through the rear mount rail on the horizontal centerline.
