4.  Hydraulic Pump Drive (Fig. 1)

 A.  The hydraulic pump drive is located on the aft face of the main gearbox at the 4 o'clock position. The direction of rotation is counterclockwise. An oil nozzle distributes oil to the center of the driveshaft. After passing through the splines, the oil is discharged into the main gearbox through twelve radial holes in the driveshaft.
 5.  Drive of the Lubrication and Scavenge Oil Pump (Fig. 1)

 A.  The drive of the lubrication and scavenge oil pump is located on the aft face of the main gearbox at the 6 o'clock position. The direction of rotation is counterclockwise.
 6.  Drive for the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) (Fig. 1)

 A.  The drive for the IDG is located on the aft face of the main gearbox at the 6:30 o'clock position. The direction of rotation is counterclockwise. The drive splines are lubricated by a stream of oil which is scooped into the center of the shaft, passed through the splines, and discharged through seventeen radial holes in the shaft into the main gearbox cavity.
 7.  Alternator Drive for the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) (Fig. 1)

 A.  The EEC alternator drive is located on the aft face of the main gearbox at the 6 o'clock position. The direction of rotation is counterclockwise.
 8.  Drive for the Fuel Pump/Fuel Metering Unit (Fig. 1)

 A.  The drive for the fuel pump/fuel metering unit is located on the forward face of the main gearbox at the 4 o'clock position. The direction of rotation is clockwise. An oil nozzle distributes lubricating oil to the center of the driveshaft. After passing through the splines, oil is discharged into the main gearbox cavity through twelve radial holes in the driveshaft.
 9.  Housing for the Main Oil Filter (Fig. 1)

 A.  The housing for the main oil filter is located on the forward face of the main gearbox at the 4 o'clock position, and is mounted to the forward end of the engine oil tank. The filter installed in the housing is a 15 micron nominal disposable type filter. The housing has a bypass feature in the event of a plugged filter to allow for uninterrupted oil flow.
 10. Deoiler (Fig. 1)

 A.  The deoiler is mounted on the forward face of the main gearbox at the 8 o'clock position and is located immediately below the engine oil tank. Breather air from the No. 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 bearing compartments is passed through the deoiler. The entrapped oil is removed from the air and returned to the oil tank, and the breather air is vented overboard through the deoiler outlet tube.
