(1)
Do the steps that follow to install the starter drive coupling
(Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the dust cap from the engine gearbox.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU APPLY FLUORINATED GREASE LUBRICANT (PWA 36230)
_______ TO THE STARTER DRIVE COUPLING, MAKE SURE THE STARTER DRIVE GEARSHAFT SPLINES ARE CLEAN AND NOT DAMAGED. APPLY FLUORINATED GREASE LUBRICANT (PWA 36230) TO THE STARTER DRIVE COUPLING SPLINES TO REDUCE WEAR AND INCREASE THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE PARTS.
(b)
Apply Fluorinated Grease Lubricant (P06-059) to the ID and OD splines of the starter drive coupling.
(c)
Carefully put the coupling into gearbox drive gearshaft through the inner diameter of the oil seal. 1) Align the splines of the coupling and the gear shaft. 2) Push the coupling into its position.
(d)
Lubricate the threads of the nut with Engine Oil (P03-001).
(e)
Attach the coupling in its position with the washer and nut.
NOTE: Do not tighten the nut.

(f) Put the splined drive of the PWA 26377 holder into starter drive coupling. 1) Attach the PWA 26377 holder to the engine gearbox with the
two bolts.

Put a wrench through the hole in the holder and tighten the nut to 290-325 pound-inches (32.8-36.7 newton-meters).
(h)
Remove the holder from the engine gearbox.

Close the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-04/201). S 794-018-N00

MAIN OIL FILTER HOUSING - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure gives the steps for the removal and the installation of the main oil filter housing.
B. The main oil filter housing is on the forward face of the main gearbox at approximately the 8 o'clock position.
C. To get access to the main oil filter housing, you can open the left thrust reverser half.
