 NOTE: This split bracket (10) is at the 1:30 o'clock position.

 1)  Tighten the bolts (1) to 35-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
 (h)  Install the screw (4), threads lubricated with engine oil, washer (5), and nut (6) that attaches the wire bundle clamp to the split bracket (10).
 NOTE: This split bracket is at the 1:30 o'clock position.

 1)  Tighten the screw (4) to 25-35 pound-inches (2.8-4.0 newton-meter).
 (i)  Install the screw (4), threads lubricated with engine oil, washer (5), and nut (6) that attaches the wire bundle clamps to the bracket (38).
 NOTE: This bracket (38) is at the 1:45 o'clock position.

 1)  Tighten the screw (4) to 25-35 pound-inches (2.8-4.0 newton-meters).
 (j)  Install the screw (4), threads lubricated with engine oil, washers (5), and nut (6) that attaches the wire bundle clamps and the three ground wires to the split bracket (37).
 NOTE: This split bracket (37) is at the 1:45 o'clock position.

 1)  Tighten the screws (4) to 25-35 pound-inches (2.8-4.0 newton-meters).
 (k)  Install the screw (4), threads lubricated with engine oil, washer (5), and nut (6) that attaches the wire bundle clamp to the bracket (27).
 NOTE: This bracket (27) is at the 2:00 o'clock position.

 1)  Tighten the screw (4) to 25-35 pound-inches (2.8-4.0 newton-meters).
 (l)  Install the bolt (1), threads lubricated with engine oil, and nut (2) that attaches the wire bundle clamp to the bracket (39).
 NOTE: This bracket (39) is at the 2:30 o'clock position.

 1)  Tighten the bolt (1) to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

FRONT FAN CASE - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure gives the instructions for the inspection of the fan case rubstrips (front fan case duct segments) for worn areas, damage, cracks, and holes.
 B.  This procedure also gives the continue-in-service and flyback limits.
 C.  The front fan case holds the inlet cowl and gives containment of the fan blades.
 D.  You must go into the inlet cowl to get access to the front fan case for an inspection.

 2.  Examine the Fan Case Rubstrips

 A.  Special Tools and Equipment
 (1)  PWA 29156 - Gage, Pratt & Whitney, Commercial Products Division, 400 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108
 NOTE: This gage is an alternative to the standard dial
____
 indicator depth gage.

 B.  Standard Tools and Equipment
 (1) Gage - Depth, Standard Dial Indicator, with tapered contact point
 NOTE: This depth gage is an alternative to the PWA 29156 gage.

 (2)  
Mat - Protective, Rubber Manufacturer's Association, Grade SC43, neoprene sponge, 1 inch thick, 3 x 4 feet with warning streamers attached (three required)
