Install the seal in the fuel pump pad on the end of the gear shaft, against the shoulder of the gear shaft.

HYDRAULIC PUMP DRIVE OIL SEAL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure gives the steps to remove and install the oil seal for the hydraulic pump drive. In this procedure, the oil seal for the hydraulic pump drive is referred to as the EDP (engine-driven pump) oil seal.
B. The EDP oil seal is found on the aft side of the main gearbox at the 4 o'clock position.
C. You must open the right thrust reverser half and remove the EDP to get access to the EDP oil seal.
