Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

Open the left core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

Remove the IDG (AMM 24-11-01/401).

Remove the retaining ring that attaches the IDG oil seal to the space in the IDG drive pad.

Install the PWA 85203 puller to the seal housing.
(a)
Engage the puller jaws in the groove of the seal housing.
(b)
Move the puller ring down until the jaws are engaged into the groove.

(8) Remove IDG oil seal from IDG drive pad with a slide hammer action of the puller.
NOTE: This slide hammer action will cause a larger force than the
____
preformed packing.

Disengage the puller from the IDG oil seal.

Discard the packing.

(10) Install a cover on the IDG pad opening.
