Remove 2 bolts and 2 nuts that attach the core sensor to the bracket at the top of the engine.

Remove the core sensor from the engine.

 C.  Procedure
 S 424-025-C00
 (1)  Install the core sensor (Fig. 401).
 (a)  
Apply a thin layer of grease to the threads of the 2 screws and the 2 bolts.

 (b)  
Attach the core sensor on the turbine rear flange with 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

 (c)  
Tighten the bolts to 100-110 pound-inches (11.5-12.5 N.m.).

 (2)  Connect the core sensor cable.
 (a)  Attach the cable to the clamps with a bolt and a nut, at these locations: 1) At 3 clamps on flange T on the turbine section. 2) At a clamp on the support bracket, attached to flange T on
 the turbine section.
 3)  At 3 clamps on flange S on the turbine section.
 4)  At 3 clamps between flange S on the turbine section and the
 electrical connector.
 5)  ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 77-001; (ENGINES WITH A CLAMP ON THE INSTRUMENTATION BOSS); At a clamp on an instrumentation boss at the 10 o'clock position on flange T.
 (b)  
ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 77-001; (ENGINES WITH A CLAMP ON THE INSTRUMENTATION BOSS); Tighten the bolt on that clamp to 100-110 pound-inches (11.5-12.5 N.m).

 (c)  
Tighten the bolts on the clamps to 53-62 pound-inches (6-7 N.m). 1) Tighten the bolts in a sequence from the clamp near the

 core sensor to the clamp near the electrical connector.

 (d)  
Attach the cable to the clamp, near the electrical connector, with a bolt and a nut.

 (e)  
Tighten the bolt on the clamp to 100-110 pound-inches (11.5-12.5 N.m).

 (f)  
Attach the electrical connector with 2 plates and 4 screws. 1) Tighten the screws. 2) On the screws with the lockwire or the safety cable,


 install the lockwire or the safety cable on the screws.
 3)  On the screws without the lockwire or the safety cable, apply a thin layer of Loctite 241 (CP2246) on the threads of the screws.
