(g)  Push the control knob in. 1) Make sure the display is not on. 2) Make sure the index marker moves to where it was.

 (5)  Do a check of the N1 indicating system with no input.
 (a)  
Disconnect the function generator from the test box.

 (b)  
Make sure the display does not show and the pointer goes to zero.


 G. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  AIRPLANES WITHOUT EIS;
 For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers:

 (a)  P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) C00732 TACH IND ENG 1 N1
 2) C00733 TACH IND ENG 2 N1

 (2)  AIRPLANES WITH EIS;
 For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers:

 (a)  P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) C01182 EIS PRIMARY 1 (Engine 1)
 2) C01184 EIS PRIMARY 2 (Engine 1)
 3) C01183 EIS PRIMARY 3 (Engine 2)
 4) C01185 EIS PRIMARY 4 (Engine 2)

 (3)  
Disconnect the test equipment.

 (a)  
Disconnect the function generator and the test box from the receptacle at the N1 speed sensor.

 (b)  
Connect the electrical connector D546 to the N1 speed sensor.

 

 (4)  
Close the right fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Operate the engines (AMM 71-00-00/201).

Make sure the N2 indicators show approximately the same N2% when the N1 indicators show the same N1%.

 (1)  C77002 Tachometer System Test Box

 (1)  
Function generator -Gives approximately a 5 V square or sine wave, and adjusts from 50 Hz to 3000 Hz Wavetek Model 21 Synthesizer/Function Generator or equivalent.

 (2)  
Multimeter - Dana 4003 Digital or equivalent
