WARNING: CLEAN THE SENSOR IN AN APPROVED CLEANING CABINET OR IN AN
_______ AREA THAT HAS A GOOD FLOW OF AIR. DO NOT BREATHE THE VAPORS. DO NOT USE THE SOLVENT NEAR FLAMES OR HEAT. DO NOT TOUCH THE SOLVENT FOR A LONG TIME, OR YOU CAN REMOVE SKIN OILS AND CAUSE DERMATITIS.
(1) Clean the pin contacts on the electrical receptacle of the N1 speed sensor with a soft brush and solvent.

4. N1 Speed Sensor Visual Check____________________________
A. Procedure
S 212-007-C00
(1) Do a visual check of the metal areas on the N1 speed sensor for this type of damage:
(a)
Cracks
1) No cracks are permitted.
(b)
Nicks, dents or scratches with a depth of more than 0.030 inch
(0.76 mm).
1) Replace the N1 speed sensor if the damage is not in the limits.
(c) Mount flange that is not flat by more than 0.04 inch (1 mm).
1) Replace the N1 speed sensor if the damage is not in the limits.
S 212-009-C00
(2) Do a visual check of the electrical connector on the N1 speed sensor for this type of damage:
(a)
More than full thread damage on 30% of one entrance thread or 20% of two entrance threads or crossed threads 1) Chase the threads if the damage is in the limits. 2) Replace the N1 speed sensor if the damage is not in the
limits.
(b)
Pins that do not engage freely with the connector 1) Make the bent pins straight. 2) Replace the N1 speed sensor if the pins are broken, have
erosion or do not engage easily.
(c)
Dirt in the connector
1) Clean the N1 speed sensor.
