THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY
TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(5) Open the left thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
E. Remove the Forward EGT Extension Cable

CAUTION: DO NOT BEND OR MAKE A KINK IN THE EGT HARNESSES AND PROBES.

YOU CAN EASILY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EGT HARNESSES AND PROBES.
(1) Do these steps to disconnect the connector or terminals (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the bolt, the nut, and the loop clamp that attach the extension cable to the engine brackets at three locations.
(b)
Disconnect the connector (on the lower extension harness) from the main junction box with the fork wrench.
(c)
ENGINES WITH INTERFACE CONNECTORS; Disconnect the connector: 1) Disconnect the connector from the airplane wires. 2) Remove the four screws and the two shims that attach the
connector to the bracket.
(d)
ENGINES WITH INTERFACE TERMINALS; Remove the two nuts and disconnect the two interface terminals.
(e)
Put protective caps on the connectors and the receptacles.
