 equivalent.

 

 

 ú NOTE:____Output of megohmmeter should be ú 50V DC or 100V DC.

 E. Prepare to Do the System Test

 (1)  AIRPLANES WITHOUT EIS;
 ú  For the applicable engine, make sure that these circuit breakers are closed:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center
 1) ENG 1 EGT IND
 2) ENG 2 EGT IND

 (2)  AIRPLANES WITH EIS;
 ú  For the applicable engine, make sure that these circuit breakers are closed:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center
 1) EIS PRI 2
 2) EIS PRI 4

 WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE FOR THE THRUST REVERSER TO
_______ PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  
Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (4)  
Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (5)  Open the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
 F. Do the EGT Indication System Test (Fig. 501)

 CAUTION: THE EGT INDICATION WILL BE LESS ACCURATE IF THE ELECTRICAL
_______ CONTACTS ARE NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED. EXAMINE THE ELECTRICAL CONTACTS.
 (1)  Examine the connector leads.
 NOTE:____The leads are alumel and chromel. The alumel lead is magnetic, negative and color coded green. The chromel is not magnetic, positive and color coded white.
