 (1)  Do these steps to disconnect the connector (Fig. 406):
 (a)  
Disconnect the connector (on the right extension harness) from the right junction box with the fork wrench.

 (b)  
Put protective caps on the connector and the receptacle.

 (2)  Do these steps to disconnect the harness:
 (a)  
Remove the two bolts and the two nuts that attach the right junction box to the engine flange.

 (b)  
Remove the bolt, the nut, and the loop clamp that attach the cable to tne engine flange at two locations.

 (c)  
ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 77-009; Remove the bolt, the nut, and the two loop clamps that attach the harnesses to the engine bracket.

 (d)  
ENGINES PRE-CFMI-SB 77-009; Remove the bolt, the nut, and the clamp half that attach the cable to the engine bracket.

 D. Procedure

 (1)  Do these steps to connect the connector (Fig. 406):
 (a)  
Remove protective caps from the connector and the receptacle.

 (b)  
Connect the connector (on the right extension harness) to the right junction box. 1) Tighten the connector with the fork wrench to


 170-190 pound-inches (19-21 N.m).

 (2)  Do these steps to connect the harness:
 (a)  
Install the loop clamp, the bolt, and the nut that attach the cable to the engine flange at two locations. 1) Tighten the bolts and the nuts to 30-35 pound-inches

 (3.5-4 N.m).

 (b)  
ENGINES POST-CFMI-SB 77-009; Install the two loop clamps, the bolt, and the nut that attach the harnesses to the engine bracket. 1) Tighten the bolt and the nut to 25-30 pound-inches
